Navy and graduated from Forest Park Senior High School and Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science . He worked in various funeral homes in the state of Georgia before coming to Mowell in 2005. Chris has always had a deep desire to serve others in their time of need. He is a member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church of Jonesboro.

Our main chapel seats 650 with a smaller chapel available for smaller services. We are proud to have been one of the first funeral homes to comply with the chairs and the handicapped. She grew up in College Park, Georgia, where after graduating from high school, she worked for the government. They moved 3 times in their first year of marriage, settling in Fayette County in 1964, where they founded Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home. Faye was the only assistant in the funeral home office for many years while raising their 4 children, Becky, Beth, Ferrell, and David. She now has 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Our funeral directors have been serving families for many years. Mowell, Jr. started Carl J Mowell & Son Funeral Home with his father, Carl Mowell Sr., in 1964. Before that he worked at funeral homes in East Point and Newnan.
They have 2 sons, a daughter and son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. John Christopher serves as our After Care Coordinator. He came to Mowell Funeral Home in 2014, after 27 years of service for Delta Airlines. John is married to Cindy, has 2 sons, and 4 grandchildren.

W. Bee Huddleston, a native of Fayette County, has been working with us for at least 50 years. David Mowell was raised upstairs at the funeral home in Fayetteville and has been working full time since 1993. Chris Cumbie, who also has roots here in Fayette County and been in the funeral business for almost 25 years, has worked for Mowell for over 15 years.

While in Virginia, he became a licensed basic diver and basic pilot. After serving his country in the US Navy, he moved back home to be with his family in 2001. He graduated Gupton Jones Mortuary School in 2002. He was lucky enough to meet his blushing bride and married her and was blessed with 2 beautiful daughters, Savannah Belle and Scarlett Rose. Todd enjoys spending time with his girls, golfing, and family time. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, GA and Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Decatur, GA. Clint is a licensed funeral director and embalmer.

Todd Sinkus is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer and Certified Cremation Specialist. He was born in New Orleans and has fond memories of the food, Mardi Gras, and the New Orleans Saints. He grew up in Newnan since the age of 8 and graduated from East Coweta High in 1993. He served 6 years in the US Navy honorably while attaining his degree in Biochemistry at ODU in Virginia.
Clint Gilpin is one of our licensed funeral directors as well as Todd Sinkus who bring over 25 years of combined funeral service to our staff. Ron Lee is our Preneed Counselor, ready to assist you in planning for your future. John Christopher is our AfterCare Coordinator, focusing on families as they take the necessary steps after the funeral.
