Bee Huddleston has been with Mowell Funeral Home since its beginning in 1964. He is a licensed funeral director, embalmer and is currently the Coroner for Fayette County, after being a Deputy Coroner for over 30 years. He grew up in Fayette County, graduating from Fayette County High School and the Cincinatti College of Embalming. He is father to Kara and Daniel , and “Bee Bop” to Anna, Emily, Ellie, Denver, and Coralie. Bee is a member of Woolsey Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Masonic Lodge 711, and the Yaarab Temple.

CJ Mowell, Jr. is the President and Founder of Carl J Mowell & Son Funeral Home. He is married to Faye and has four children, Beth, Ferrell, David, and Becky, who passed away in 2010. CJ graduated from the Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science . He opened the funeral home with his father, Reverend CJ Mowell, and with the support of friend Ed Davis, in 1964. He has been a licensed funeral director since 1962 and also served as the Fayette County Coroner for 50 years, retiring in March of 2016. CJ was the past President of National Selected Morticians/Selected Independent Funeral Homes, Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia.

David J. Mowell is the President of Mowell Funeral Home & Cremation Service. He is married to April and has 3 children, Harrison, Grayson and Macie Rose. Along with being a licensed funeral director and embalmer, David served as a Fayette County Deputy Coroner for 20 years. David was born and raised in Fayetteville and is a graduate of Fayette County High School , the University of Georgia , and Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science . David is a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church and active in local area sports as a volunteer, and enjoys movies, college football, and 80’s pop culture. W. Bee Huddleston, a native of Fayette County, has been working with us for at least 50 years. David Mowell was raised upstairs at the funeral home in Fayetteville and has been working full time since 1993. Chris Cumbie, who also has roots here in Fayette County and been in the funeral business for almost 25 years, has worked for Mowell for over 15 years.
She grew up in College Park, Georgia, where after graduating from high school, she worked for the government. They moved 3 times in their first year of marriage, settling in Fayette County in 1964, where they founded Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home. Faye was the only assistant in the funeral home office for many years while raising their 4 children, Becky, Beth, Ferrell, and David. She now has 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. They have 2 sons, a daughter and son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. John Christopher serves as our After Care Coordinator. He came to Mowell Funeral Home in 2014, after 27 years of service for Delta Airlines. John is married to Cindy, has 2 sons, and 4 grandchildren.
He is also a grandfather to Grady, Alaynna, Everett, Noah, and Kendall. He graduated from Atlanta High School and Texas A&M University . Ron has a desire to help families before, during, and after a loss. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Chris Cumbie serves as the Manager of Mowell Funeral Home, as well as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is married to Lora, and has 6 children, Cathy, Carolyn, Rebecca, Matthew, Anna, and Emma.
While in Virginia, he became a licensed basic diver and basic pilot. After serving his country in the US Navy, he moved back home to be with his family in 2001. He graduated Gupton Jones Mortuary School in 2002. He was lucky enough to meet his blushing bride and married her and was blessed with 2 beautiful daughters, Savannah Belle and Scarlett Rose. Todd enjoys spending time with his girls, golfing, and family time. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, GA and Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in Decatur, GA. Clint is a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
